Just a(n obviously non-referenced) sketch I doodled over lunchbreak today, based on hanging out with Luke last night. Fax: when one is in a long-term relationship with someone, one is often forced to ponder things. Things like why your boyfriend finds it absolutely effing hilarious to lick your face at random moments and then laugh like a madman. I imagine this is something Tabs ponders as well.

Incidentally, this turned out precisely how I picture John and Tabitha in my head, which is why I'm sharing.

So, not too long ago, a conversation between Percy and I drove her to drafting a fandom wishlist, with the disclaimer that "Let me be clear from the start -- I don't mean this as an 'OMG GUYS SOMEONE WRITE THIS FOR ME' list. This is an 'If you see anything of this sort in your fandom travels, please pass it along because HOLY CRAP I'd love you for it' list."

And now I'm doing the same. Be very afraid.


So, fandom flisters, if any of you see any of these things and would pass them along, I'd love you forever. AND, if any of you were to make up similar lists, I'd be wont to pass your needs onto you if I find them.

Fandom Wishlist

1) Brotherhood genfic. The several glimpses we've gotten into the WatXM BO(E)M's day-to-day life (playing pool, moodily staring off balconies, lounging in boxers, teasing each other, drinking tea, irking MRD's) have got me hankering for more Brotherhood like whoa. I have to admit they are one of my major motivators for watching WatXM in the first place, and I happen to squeal wildly when they are on screen. I'd love me some Fred and Dominic and Domino and Mort and Pie snarky and fun and happy and team-y slice-of-life, specifically Domino wrangling the guys with equal parts patience and threats. (I would also love Evo recs to death...it's been ages since I read a great Evo BOM fic. I don't even mind if there are pairings at all [though if there are I'm particularly fond of Lietro and Johnda]) (And Mystique incarnation Freedom Force pseudo-BOM comics fics. Freedom Force is love.)

2) WatXM Iceman fic. Without Shadowcat. It's not that I don't love Kitty, she's totally kickbum and awesome, but every Bobby fic doesn't have to be about him pining unrequitedly for her and I'm sure hopeful there's one out there that isn't. I think Bobby Drake is one of the more compelling X-characters from the comic (I mean, it's been stated he's what? Omega level I think.) Because he's all bravado and jokes up front and terrified self-doubt underneath. He left to become an accountant for chrissakes. In House of M/Decimation M, he lost his powers because he subconsciously repressed them out of lack of self-confidence. I know he's de-aged in WatXM, but I still think he retains that quintessential comics Bobby-ness that makes me love him as a character. I'd also adore finding some chronology explanation fic.

3) WatXM Bobby and Forge friendship fic. So I kind of ship Forge with everything that moves, thanks to fandom, (Domino due to equal parts nijireiki and lithiumlaughter, Kitty because of alcimines, Mortimer from manikaitwing) However, while I wouldn't be opposed to Bobby/Forge slash fic, mostly I hope to find cute friend!fic where they bond over videogames and pranking teammates and being under appreciated.

4) WatXM Dominic/Pietro slash in any form (though bonus points for mild H/C because I'm a lame sucker for formulaic waff fic). :: le gasp:: I might have, in passing and very subtly/unobnoxiously, mentioned that these two are my cracky WatXM stone solid unflinching slash OTP (with my equivalent het OTP being John/Tabitha even though I love Pyro/Iceman to deaths too and would love fic recs for that too if they exist outside of what Perc wrote and I've already read). There was one Dom/Pie that appeared on ff.net way back in May, where they were being all adorable in a post-apocalyptic world, but it only ever had one chapter before never updating again. :: cries ::

5) Marvel 1602 Black Widow/Daredevil fic. HOMG, they have to have precanon backstory and sexy spyness and a ADVENTURESFULLOFAWESOME that no one has explored in fic yet. I imagine they betray each other at every turn and there is much of teh hatesex. Also also, Clea/Stephen Strange fic, wherein they are adorible, because they so are. I've read On the Care and Keeping of Sorcerers, any more recs would be appreciated.

6) Good Jean/Scott/Emma fic where Jean is IC and not a raging bitchahol. I know this, at least, has to exist, even though I keep finding semi-shitty Jean portrayals. I like Jean. I like Emma too. Anyverse.

7) X-Factor Rictor and Maddrox fic. Wherein they banter and possibly makeout? I'm so sorry Shatterstar. comically and wonderfully. <3 (Also, pre X-Factor Pietro/Rictor fic. DIRECTCOMICQUOTE: Rictor (about Quicksilver): "It's not like I'm sleeping with him...anymore." Eeee!!! Slashyfangirl squee. Where is the PWP fic, intarwebz?)


Umm, any pics of the above would also make me happy-squeeful.

Tried ustreaming tonight. Apparently my computer does not do well under divided attention. Especially because paint.net is such a huge program. Everything was slowed-down huge. That being said, got to stream and be extremely socially awkward all over the intarwebz for about an hour and a half before my computer gave out. Thanks for people who watched. (Namely you Perc heh <3) ::shrugs:: It was an experience at least.

On that note, there are many reasons I should not be allowed to have a computer. Awkwardness is one of them. Screencaps that only I find funny are totally another:

Got sick of looking at my art, so swapped it out for some angsty-pretty Pietro. And titles based on Andrew Bird lyrics. Because Andrew Bird and Pietro Maximoff are love and I was in need of some squee, darnit. No judging XD.

I think Pietro ends up being one of my favourite characters because he is so utterly fallible. A lot of people tend to like stronger characters who don't let stuff get them down and use them sort of as inspiration. I like Pietro because he messes up and it gets to him; he gives up and he doesn't know what to do and he wallows in self-pity sometimes. But then around people he just snarks the eff out of things and hides it under a cocky and confident facade. I guess that feels more real to me. Characters who always conquer their problems head on make me feel sort of inadequate. (Vicariously identifying with fictional characters much, Kelly? heh)

Also, as a scientist, I feel I should strongly advise against holding and/or clutching mercury in your hand. Unless you want to get mercury poisoning/become the mad hatter. Then it's your call.
